Marian Khalil
Optometrist & Director
My name is Marian Khalil and I am the owner and optometrist here at Belle View Optometry. I studied at Deakin University and graduated with a Bachelor of Vision Sciences & Masters of Optometry. After my studies I returned to Adelaide where I started working in corporate optometry. Since graduation I have worked in many practices across Adelaide which allowed me to meet some amazing colleagues and patients along the way.
After working across different clinics, I noticed that the part I enjoy the most is educating my patients about their eye health and vision and how they can take care of them. This is why Belle View Optometry was created. I wanted to provide my patients with the level of care & service I would like to receive myself. My favourite part is when a patient tells me "Wow, this has never been explained to me before". I also wanted to create a space that was inviting, welcoming and warm for our patients, a place where you can feel at ease from the second you walk in to the second you leave. I am a strong believer that our eyes deserve the best care and that is exactly what we aim to provide, after all we only get one pair of eyes.
Outside of work my days consist of trying out new brunch places around Adelaide, beach walks, cooking (if I'm feeling adventurous) and spending quality time with friends & family.

Barbara
Practice Manager
My name is Barbara and I am the Practice Manager/Dispensing Expert at Belle View Optometry. I started working in Optics about 13 years ago and I love it. It ticks a few boxes for me, it is fun, challenging, ever-changing plus I get to help people along the way, what more could I want.
A typical day at work for me consists of assisting patients through their journey in choosing their new eyewear, educating them on lens options and making recommendations based on their visual tasks & needs as well as ensuring they look and feel their best. Being the manager also allows me to do more to ensure everything runs smoothly. I also liaise with local GPs, nurses and other allied health professionals to provide the best care to our patients.
Outside of work, I spend my time cuddled up with my two beautiful cats, Kenneth & Dwight while binge watching Top Chef. I also love catching up with my friends, spending time with my partner or keeping up with the latest current affairs.
